The QuestCares Supportive Services Team continues to operate with clear intention—advancing housing stability, strengthening compliance, and deepening its impact on community wellness. In the first quarter of the year, that commitment translated into measurable progress across program development, strategic partnerships, and resident engagement.
Strengthening the Foundation
This quarter marked several key operational milestones that reinforce the integrity and sustainability of QuestCares programs. The team successfully completed the Atlanta Community Food Bank audit, further solidifying compliance and strengthening a critical community partnership.
At the same time, development of the House Manager Training Program moved forward, creating a structured pathway to empower resident leadership and peer accountability within housing communities. Internal policies and procedures were also updated to align with evolving regulatory standards, ensuring continued readiness and organizational excellence.
In preparation for upcoming audits and expanded oversight, QuestCares welcomed a new DBHDD Compliance Officer—an important addition that enhances the organization’s capacity to maintain high-quality, compliant service delivery.
Driving Connection Through Programming
Beyond operations, QuestCares continues to prioritize meaningful engagement as a cornerstone of stability and recovery. A range of programs and initiatives were activated this quarter to foster connection, education, and overall well-being among residents.
Events such as A Taste of Black History and Lights, Camera, Community created opportunities for cultural expression and shared experience, while weekly supportive groups provided consistent spaces for dialogue, healing, and peer support. The Quarterly Health Fair at Gardens at College Town further reinforced the organization’s holistic approach, connecting residents to vital health resources and services.
Together, these initiatives go beyond programming—they build community.
Expanding Impact Through Partnerships
QuestCares remains deeply embedded within the broader ecosystem of care across Atlanta. This quarter, the team actively participated in the annual Point-in-Time Count, contributing to a citywide effort to better understand and address homelessness.
Team members also engaged in the Atlanta Continuum of Care’s first in-person meeting of 2026, reinforcing alignment with regional priorities and collaborative strategies. Additional trainings—including PIT/HIC and Mental Health First Aid—equipped staff with critical tools to better support residents with complex needs.
At a systems level, QuestCares leadership contributed to ongoing improvements through participation in the Coordinated Entry Refinement Committee, helping to shape more effective and equitable pathways into housing and services.
Measurable Outcomes, Meaningful Impact
The results of this work are clear. Across six programs, 85% of QuestCares clients remain permanently housed, a strong indicator of sustained housing stability and program effectiveness. QuestCares continues to exceed expectations within the Continuum of Care for Supportive Housing, demonstrating both accountability and impact at scale.
As the organization looks ahead, its focus remains consistent: delivering high-quality supportive services that not only meet immediate needs but also create long-term pathways to independence and well-being.
“Our goal is simple—to have impact on the community. We don’t just provide services, we create stability, opportunity, and hope.”
— Melissa Tyson, QuestCares Program Director
Moving Forward
Through strategic execution, community-centered programming, and strong partnerships, QuestCares continues to set a standard for supportive services in Atlanta. Whether through Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) or recovery-focused Transitional Living Housing (TLH), the work remains rooted in a singular mission: building stability through care—and strengthening communities in the process.
