On August 6–7, 2025, Quest Community Development Corporation’s CEO, Leonard Adams, along with members of the Quest Real Estate Development (RED) team, attended the Rural Preservation Academy hosted by Enterprise Community Partners in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This two-day convening brought together housing leaders, policymakers, and community developers to address the unique challenges and opportunities in rural affordable housing preservation and development.
Day One focused on preserving the USDA 515 housing portfolio, highlighting successful preservation strategies, innovative financing models, and national policy efforts to protect rural housing resources.
Day Two shifted to the Appalachian region, where participants explored policy, research, and innovative approachesthat strengthen affordable housing in rural communities. Discussions emphasized regional collaboration, state-level support, and local solutions that align with long-term sustainability.
QuestCDC’s participation in the Rural Preservation Academy reflects our commitment to exploring innovative models, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships that ensure housing equity—not just in urban Atlanta, but in communities across the Southeast.
