Mindfulness in Action: Empowering Clients with Tools for Self-Awareness and Growth

On August 12, 2025, case managers Janet Edwards and Tamekia Shumpert led an engaging, transformative Mindfulness Group for our clients—creating a safe, supportive space to explore practical strategies for enhancing mental and emotional well-being.


Through guided discussions and activities, clients developed key skills such as:

  • Establishing healthier communication habits

  • Navigating challenges with difficult people

  • Calming and understanding the mind

  • Strengthening self-awareness


The session concluded with a recognition of each participant’s commitment and growth, as clients proudly received certificates for both participation and consistent attendance. This celebration not only marked the end of the session but also underscored the importance of continued personal development.


By incorporating mindfulness practices into their daily lives, participants are now better equipped to handle stress, build healthier relationships, and cultivate a more balanced mindset.
