On August 1, 2025, Kenneth M. Oestricher Jr. reflected on the progress he has made in his recovery journey—a path shaped by resilience, support, and hope @ The Leonard House. Kenneth credits his transformation to the dedication of QuestCDC and, in particular, to the guidance of his mentor, Mrs. Clemons.
From the very first day of his Quest journey, Mrs. Clemons has been a steady presence, offering encouragement and support in moments when Kenneth felt he was stumbling. Her belief in him gave him the strength to move forward, helping him push past barriers and begin building a more stable foundation for his life.
With her guidance, Kenneth has taken meaningful steps forward. He and his roommate recently secured an apartment right next door to Quest, bringing him a newfound sense of independence and stability. He is also making progress toward obtaining his disability benefits, a crucial step in securing his long-term wellbeing.

Thanks to Mrs. Clemons’ advocacy, Kenneth has even been able to connect with a primary doctor at Mercy Care, ensuring his health needs are addressed.
Kenneth describes Mrs. Clemons as his “Sunshine,” a mentor whose encouragement and care have been central to his recovery. “My hats off to her,” he shares with gratitude, recognizing how her consistent support has guided him through difficult times.
For Kenneth, being part of Quest Housing has been life-changing. “I am so grateful to have had an opportunity to be a client at Quest Housing,” he reflects. “I will always cherish that love and support from the Quest organization and my mentor, Mrs. Clemons.”
Kenneth’s journey is a testament to the power of compassion, community, and mentorship. With the right support system, he has not only regained stability but also found renewed hope for the future.
