Observing World Mental Health Day: Pause, Recharge, Thrive with QuestCDC

ree

Each year on World Mental Health Day, we pause to raise awareness about mental wellness and to advocate for stronger support systems in every community. This year’s theme—Pause, Recharge, Thrive—reflects our commitment at Quest Community Development Corporation (QuestCDC) to helping Atlanta’s Westside residents care for their mental and emotional well-being.

To honor the day, QuestCDC hosted a Lunch & Learn: “Pause, Recharge, Thrive”—a thoughtful space for our team to focus on self-care, mindfulness, and practical tools for managing stress. The event encouraged open conversations about mental health and reminded everyone that taking time to recharge is a vital part of sustaining long-term wellness.

At Quest, mental health support extends far beyond a single day of observance. Through QuestCares Supportive Services, Case Management, and our network of Recovery partners, we provide wraparound care to Westside residents who face housing instability, trauma, and other life challenges.

  • Our Supportive Services team offers counseling, peer support, and life-skills programming that helps residents strengthen their mental and emotional resilience.

  • Our Case Management team works one-on-one with residents to connect them to critical resources—from housing and healthcare to education and employment.

  • And through our Recovery partnerships, we help individuals on their healing journeys maintain stability and hope.

On World Mental Health Day, we reaffirm our commitment to building a community where everyone has access to the support, compassion, and opportunities they need to thrive—because at QuestCDC, wellness is not just a goal, it’s part of our mission to move lives and neighborhoods forward.
