In August, Quest Cares hosted Coffee & Canvas ’25, a vibrant and inspiring event facilitated by Lakesha Simon and Tiajila Clemons. Residents gathered for a morning of painting, reflection, and uplifting dialogue that blended creativity with community.
Throughout the session, participants explored how art and conversation can spark meaningful benefits. Painting not only enhances fine motor skills but also nurtures emotional well-being. The simple act of putting brush to canvas opened the door to nostalgia while encouraging everyone to remain grounded in the present moment.
Equally important was the positive exchange among attendees. Conversations flowed naturally, creating a sense of fellowship and support that added depth to the creative experience. The atmosphere reminded everyone that art is not just about the final product—it’s about the process, the presence, and the people who share it.
At Quest Cares, the mission goes beyond housing to include health, wellness, and educational opportunities that enrich daily life. Events like Coffee & Canvas provide residents with tools for mindfulness, outlets for self-expression, and spaces where stress is replaced by creativity and connection.
This year’s gathering was more than an art session—it was a celebration of the healing power of creativity and the importance of shared moments. Quest Cares remains committed to building these opportunities for residents to thrive both individually and together.
