What an inspiring day! Last week, The Quest Team had the privilege of stepping inside Atlanta’s first Goodr Grocery Store on Auburn Avenue. The experience was a powerful reminder of what purpose and community can achieve together.
A Store with a Mission
Located in the historic heart of Sweet Auburn, the Goodr Grocery Store is more than just a place to shop—it’s a symbol of hope, access, and food justice. Families in the neighborhood now have a dignified, zero-cost space to select fresh produce, nutritious groceries, and everyday essentials. There’s no stigma attached—just service, care, and respect.
“Walking into the Goodr Grocery Store reminded me that when community, compassion, and innovation come together, real change happens. This space is more than shelves and produce—it’s dignity, hope, and opportunity for families who deserve it most.” — Melanie Faison, COO, Quest Community Development Corporation
Highlights from Our Visit
Shelves of impact: From leafy greens to pantry staples, every aisle is stocked with quality goods that reflect Goodr’s mission to make healthy food accessible.
Faces of the community: Smiles from neighbors, volunteers, and staff lit up the space, underscoring that this store was built for them.
A mission in motion: Goodr’s work fights both food waste and hunger, redistributing surplus food while ensuring families have consistent access to what they need.
The power of design: Beyond groceries, the welcoming and respectful atmosphere demonstrates that food access is about dignity as much as it is about nutrition.
Seeing Change in Action
It’s one thing to talk about addressing hunger. It’s another to see real solutions come to life. The Goodr Grocery Store is not just about well-designed space—it’s about transforming lives.
Moving Forward Together
If you’re in Atlanta, we encourage you to visit and witness the impact for yourself. Big thanks to Goodr for leading this work, and to the community for embracing it. Together, we can continue building spaces that uplift, nourish, and empower.
