Tiajila Clemons knows firsthand the challenges of rebuilding a life after addiction. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she has been in recovery for more than 20 years—a journey that has shaped both her personal resilience and her professional calling.
For over 14 years, Tiajila has dedicated her career to serving individuals impacted by substance use, mental health challenges, and homelessness. Her work has always been rooted in empathy and lived experience, allowing her to connect with others in a way that goes beyond traditional care.
Today, Tiajila brings that passion and purpose to QuestCDC on Atlanta’s Westside, where she serves as the Lead Peer Specialist and Case Manager in the Transitional Housing program (The Leonard House). In this role, she works closely with men who are striving to break free from addiction and reclaim their independence.
Her responsibilities go far beyond paperwork and program management. Each day, she provides one-on-one support, peer guidance, and encouragement to residents—reminding them that recovery is possible and that stability can be achieved with the right resources and support system.
What sets Tiajila apart is her ability to lead with compassion. She understands the courage it takes to begin again, because she has walked that path herself. That lived experience allows her to meet residents where they are, offering not just case management, but also hope, accountability, and a vision for a brighter future.
For Tiajila, recovery is more than a personal milestone—it’s a lifelong commitment to helping others find healing and stability. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience, and her work at QuestCDC continues to inspire both colleagues and residents alike.
