Leonard L. Adams Jr. Named to Atlanta Magazine's 2026 "Atlanta 500" List of Most Powerful Leaders

QuestCDC is proud to announce that Founder, President and CEO Leonard L. Adams Jr. has been named to Atlanta Magazine's 2026 Atlanta 500, recognizing the city's most influential leaders across business, government, education, and nonprofit sectors. Adams was honored in the Religion, Nonprofits & Advocacy category, marking his continued recognition among Atlanta's most impactful changemakers.

The Atlanta 500 spotlights leaders who are shaping the city's future — and Adams' inclusion comes as QuestCDC celebrates 25 years of transforming lives on Atlanta's Westside. Under his leadership, the organization has grown from a grassroots effort into a driving force in affordable and supportive housing, having secured over $100 million in government grants and subsidy support and launched Atlanta's Westside Affordable Housing Trifecta, a $110 million investment serving the city's most vulnerable populations — including individuals experiencing homelessness, extremely low-income residents, seniors 55 and older, and veterans.

A Detroit native and Army veteran, Adams has spent years developing affordable and supportive housing in historically underserved neighborhoods on Atlanta's Westside and in Knoxville, Tennessee. His work continues to take shape most visibly through projects like Heritage Village @ West Lake, the adaptive reuse of the historic Waluhaje Hotel into 102 units of affordable housing, set to celebrate its ribbon cutting on August 24, 2026.

"This recognition reflects the work of an entire team and community committed to building a more equitable Atlanta," said Adams. "As we mark 25 years of QuestCDC, this honor is a reminder of why we do this work — and how much more there is still to build."

Adams' recognition adds to a milestone year for QuestCDC, as the organization marks its 25th anniversary with the "25 Years Strong" campaign (#QuestCDC25), culminating in several community celebrations throughout 2026.
