Jonathan is an Army veteran who once stood strong for his country. But two years ago, he found himself facing a battle he never imagined—homelessness.“I didn’t want to talk about it,” he recalls. “Not even with my closest friends.”
Like many veterans, Jonathan carried invisible wounds. Without stable housing, without proper medical care, and without a support system, life grew heavy.
Last year, everything changed.Jonathan found a home at Quest Communities. With the help of his case manager, he began rebuilding his life—finding employment, getting on the right medications, and regaining a sense of purpose.
“Quest helped me wake up again.”
Today, Jonathan isn’t just surviving—he’s thriving.“I almost died last year, and now I’m going to college. Can you help the next person like me?”
His words reflect both gratitude and determination.
“We get to tell our stories because we’re survivors. I’m a survivor. I want my friends to be survivors too.”
Jonathan knows many veterans and neighbors are still waiting for the same chance.
“So many others are not yet survivors. That’s why I’m asking you to donate. It’s not for me—it’s for them. It’s for the community.”
Through housing, supportive services, and community, QuestCDC continues to help veterans like Jonathan move from survival to hope, and from hope to purpose.
