Honoring Legacy and Building Forward— QuestCDC Attends H.J. Russell & Company Historical Marker Dedication

On April 29, 2026, leaders, historians, and community stakeholders gathered in Atlanta to commemorate a defining legacy in Black enterprise and community development—the official historical marker dedication for the H. J. Russell & Company.
Hosted by the Georgia Historical Society at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE), the ceremony recognized the enduring impact of a company that began in 1952 as a small plastering business founded by Herman J. Russell and grew into one of the nation’s largest African American–owned construction firms.
The dedication is part of the Georgia Business History Initiative, which highlights organizations that have shaped the state’s economic and cultural landscape.
QuestCDC leadership was proud to be in attendance for this meaningful occasion—standing alongside partners, community leaders, and industry pioneers to honor a legacy that continues to influence Atlanta’s growth and opportunity.
